No updates because…

I’m busy tending to my crops and wooing the love of my life.

….
All on the 2008 release of Harvest Moon Grand Bazaar.

Only because the latest one on the DS isn’t out in English yet.
WOE IS ME BECAUSE THEY HAVE ALPACAS!
I LOVE ALPACAS!
My mm refused to let me go to an aplaca farm and I was upset because when she came back to Singapore, she was all, “Oh Geri, my friend showed me the pictures of alpacas she took and they were so cute! We should have gone!!”

*STABS HEART*

Anyways this all ends tomorrow because I have to spend my day focused on finding all my sandplay gakupo things and losing weight for the shoot.

I wonder if I can play harvest moon while on the trendmill..
HMM…

I stopped farming because of a cosplay meet today~ Oh my animals and vegetables! And Ivan! (T__T)
Haha but it was worth it!
Met my awesome team and it was great! Totally fun!
We got off to a seemingly awkward start at first but we kicked off after talking about the video (and making it a really twisted comedy that involves charlie the unicorn amongst many things!) and about SGcafe drama.

I’m so glad we got along so well (;__;) I was worried at first! Haha.
We chatted from like 1.30 – like 6.30!!

We will be meeting again soon to discuss other serious matters haha.
Oh dear costume, please arrive early *prays*
But for now… *off to farming*
Ho ho ho.

Beautiful X’mas day~!

Ah~~~ woke up to my lil brother’s cute smiling face HAHA.
He was tasked to wake me up and he said he was so scared so he put on his “cute” act.
I woke up normally and then gotten a surprise!

Instead of a log cake, my mum got me one of those HUGE key-shaped cakes people get on their 21st birthdays haha.

Yum yum!

Excuse the fresh-face (>_>);;
I only put on contacts and grabbed a random shirt on haha (.__.);;

Granny came over too~!

With lil bro and granny. My elder brother was sick and thus snoozing away~

Don’t know why my mum used “Geraldine Ee”… (>_>);;
I assumed it was just “Geraldine” or “Geri” Haha.
But it’s ok, I like eating the wordings hahaa!!

With dad!

And wonderful mum!

We then had xmas lunch~ pork knuckles and turkey!
Yum yum!

Later in the day, I spent Xmas with my my iTunes library and my boys.
I took them out and gave them a sponge bath.
I also changed all their clothes.
This took forever (@__@)
I wasn’t happy with some things so I kept changing them (@_@)

Also I throw out some of their PVC items that were flaking.
My heart hurts! One of those sets cost me about SGD100+??
I hate Singapore weather :(
Roarrrsss!!

Anyways I purchased some strings for restringing Tatsuya a while back…
However… I found out it was only 1 string that was enough for the body… ||ORZ
Should have gotten more!
Tatsuya came to be in 2007.
And I haven’t restrung him since.
The last time I tried doing it was with my AA Yi and it was beyond epic failure (>_>);;

But this time with determination, I managed to restring Tatsuya’s lower body.
I actually found some extra string after the whole ordeal… so I’m going to restring him completely soon!

I also want to send him for a new face-up. I want his current face, but it needs a freshening up (X_X);;
The question is.. who do I send him to (;__;) He’s too precious to me and I don’t want to cock up (;__;)

Anyways, my boys are all dressed for the New Year’s.
And when I take photos for it… you will be scratching your heads.
Coz I was…
I don’t know why they are wearing what they are wearing.. ||ORZ

Everytime I look at their storage “box” of clothes.. I think “THEY HAVE TOO MANY!”
But when it’s time to change = “OMG WHY DIDNT I BUY MORE!”
Maybe it’s because I have too many (in my opinion anyway) and they all dress differently.

FML.

Anyways by the time I was done with everything, it was late and it was about to rain.
But I desperately wanted to snap photos of Kaya.

I had on this wig on him before, and it looked completely off for him!
I was heart broken coz it was a somewhat rare wig and it was expensive.
Somehow I thought I’ld give it a second chance.. and PHEW!
It looked okay, if not goooood.

ITS SHO FLUFFY! <3

Ok I know my doll pics are always blue-ish.
But honestly, look at my apartment. EVERYTHING IS BLUE :(

Wish the fengshui geomancer tells my mum to paint the apartment some other colour next year.
PLEASE PLEASE. (T__T)

Shall invest in more cloth for backdrops (.__.);;

Anyways I did a photostory and you can find it here
Quite like doing photostories recently D:
I haven’t done one for Ayaka’s arrival, so maybe soon?

I placed Kaya and Kayden up in the shelving above my bed and because Ayaka has no space, I placed her there too.

I didn’t pose them or anything,
but it’s funny how they looked pissed / can’t be bothered with the happy princess infront of them haha.

After this, family and i were supposed to have dinner at home but we changed it to go to an awesome dinner place !
Crispy duck _ popiah skin and more (=3=)

After dinner, I came back and started working on some accessories.
Found out I ran out of chains .. ||ORZ
But I made a few necklaces. Some for the boys, some for the girls.

*nods*
It’s been a productive and good xmas indeed!
Even if we didn’t have the annual xmas party, it was good~!  (^__^)

My twins.. I’m waiting!

Remember when I wrote this ?
Guess Charlotte’s too much of a huge jump for me.
Not sure if I’m ready to venture into the unknown (HAHA) yet.

So I’ve just purchased my El twins!
Kaya’s brothers are finally making their way to me!!

In a month’s time anyway!
SGD658.60 in total. 2 heads, 1 body and 1 neck piece. [oh! plus extra goodies from the winter event! an extra head and finishing tools!]

I’ve settled for the type 3 body because it is supposed to have better posing (^-^)
Can’t wait to have them with me after a trip to a faceup artist.. though that would make it maybe a month or 2 wait longer :( Maybe I’ll go back to my favourite and trusted artist and acquaintance.
She has painted my other 2 LUTS dolls and they are just beautiful!
But I also want to try out other artistes *dilemma*
Today, I sent out Roka’s old head, a Kdoll Karon :(
The feeling is very odd indeed, but I’m preparing to rehome his character to a Kdoll Karen instead.
Why? Because the mould has teeth :B

On a happy note, while spring cleaning, I found the silly black YoSD boot I was missing, but now I can’t find the one that was laing around (>_>);; I also found another pair of shoes and a dress. Both which I don’t remember buying DDD: But yay my girls have new stuff then!

I shall try not to do a countdown. I never do anyway. Even for my first doll. haha.
I was sleeping when Tatsuya arrived and was all “whut ok @_@ *continues to sleep a bit more*”
But I’m so excited! The very first doll I fell for~! (*_*)

It’s quite fitting I guess. They are special to me, and 21st is a “special” year ~
Hoho.

On another note, SOMEONE PLEASE PURCHASE MY YEON-HO HEAD !!
[So I can rehome Hisoka to a volks school c (X_X) *death*]

QUT graduation~!

After coming back from Japan, I rested one day and flew to Brisbane the next day.
I don’t even want to talk about my stressful flight (=__=)||
Not taking quantas again if I can help it (>_>);;

But first! On that one day I had free time, met up with bestie Kymmie!

Birthday pressies from her!
Rilakkuma speakers, HK notebook, card and this pink “coupon” booklet.
Has a lot of funny shit like “slave for a day”. WAHAHA.

Speaking of rilakkuma… LOOK WHAT I SAW IN JAPAN! (*__*)
I’m trying to pester my brother to get it for me, but he’s like… “no (=_=)” anyway, I don’t have space in my room :(

Also went to the airport to have dinner before the flight..
We had Astons.
But WTF LOOK AT THIS SHIT.
The fuck is that?!

My pork chops were also burnt.

The waiter was being all cheeky and said “Ok, that’s what you ordered but what comes out may be something else.”
You got that right buddy. Thinking of that waiter also makes me feel like shoving the burnt food down his mouth and watch him choke on it. (>_>);; He was obnoxious and just plain irritating in general.

ANYWAYS!
Back to graduation…
Rushed to prepare and went to collect my robes with my housemates~
Everything was lovely~ The staff helped you pick out your sizes for the robes and mortar board~ You dont even have to lift a finger haha.

My parents got me flowers too! 2 bouquets! Whee!
Steve and Jean gotten me a graduation cat! Super cute!
Also some star registration thing!

My granny and I~!

Mummy and I

Dad and I~

Housemates and I~

Kinda funny because we sit on the stage facing the audience.
But it’s good too coz that means we can wave like mad (we are allowed to do that anytime in the ceremony! ^^)

The speeches given were all so very good!
(*_*)

Quite happy with our faculty colours too!

Met Alisa and family the next day for lunch and I brought them to have tea too!
Or rather… hot chocolate :P
Glad they enjoyed it!

Granny and I at this really bad tourist-trap restaurant :(

Wore my Liz Lisa one-piece out on my bday hoho.
The saleslady at Forever New and I talked alot because of the dress haha.
Met Steve for a massage and then Kelda and Kelly and we went for bubble tea and korean dinner.

I’m not too… excited for my own birthday to tell the truth..
I have a peter-pan syndrome. I don’t like knowing I’m older. Haha.
So simple is good!

We went to freestyle after for supper and drinks!
Managed to talk my way out of going to the strip club haha and made a promise to go another day instead.
I was NOT wearing my fav dress to a strip club :/ haha.

Anyways, was really happy when they made me open my gifts haha.

Fujifilm instant camera! Even with that mirror thing so I can camwhore properly haha!

My first pic!

Apparently this is Jean’s idea haha!
They got me a book of lists.
And they filled it with funny stuff haha.
For example, one of it was “favourite films?” and someone put “gay porn” just because I said I watched yaoi (>_>);;
haha.

Also a huge ass card, literally!
Took this because Steve insisted and I was prolly high haha.

Also gotten a tamago pan, lotsa film for the camera and  a chewie plushie from Steve for xmas! (^_^)

After my bday, I went to farm for 2 nights~!
It was super beautiful~!
I went horseback riding and fed uber cute… cows?
I don’t know if they are still considered cows.. maybe oxen???
I don’t know la. But they were really cute and had massive horns. *love*

After coming back from farm, ITS STRIP CLUB NIGHT!

Waitingggg for them to pick me up!

The strip club was great!
As you know, I appreciate the beauty of a women’s body… even more so naked WAHAHA.

When we first got there, the first dancer was… not impressive at all! So was the second dancer.
The DJ kept urging people to tip the girls to strip down to.. well.. nothing. But honestly, they were not even worth a buck in my wallet!

The third dancer, Miya, came out in red undies and had such a hot hot hot body! (I like skinny-thin girls :/ )
She also did some wild aerobatic shit on the pole! (*___*)
Gave her $20 after maybe 2 songs and she started stripping D8
*floats*

After being in the club for a while, it started to get boring because the dancers weren’t getting much hotter except for a few haha.

So we left to eat dim sum till like midnight.
Yes, dim sum in Logan is open till past midnight.
Weirdddd haha.

Anyways that’s about it. Too lazy to write further~

Because it’s xmas eve:

Cute eh?
But it doesn’t taste very nice haha.

Have a merry Christmas everyone!

God Bless,
Riko

My Japan trip in 2010

in a nut-shell.

:P

Too darn lazy to post too many pictures, they are all on Facebook anyway~!
Will post specific topic posts in later days ~

On the first day, I touched down at Tokyo and went to Harajuku.
We were planning to show my lil bro yoyogi park and all the bands and stuff, but it seemed like it just wasn’t a day for bands or any performing acts.

I was too tired to even shop but I made mental notes of what stores I wanted to come back to take a look at~

What a familiar sight, this road~~~

Our first place to have lunch was at Kyushu Jangara Ramen at Harajuku.
Voted one of the top ramens in Japan.
My elder bro loves ramen, so this whole trip covered a few top ramen places we “had to” visit.

We went at 11am, so thankfully there wasn’t any queue. There was a long queue after though!
We also had a lengthy interview with some Japanese broadcasting network about foreigners coming to eat ramen in Japan and about this particular store’s ramen. It was all in Chinese though so none of us were too psyched for it. We actually declined earlier, before going into the store but they managed to corner as when we were eating halfway and filmed anyway (=_=)||

My verdict is… try the miso one! The broth is much tastier!

The next day, we took the shinkansen to Osaka~
Lunch was ramen again… (>_>);; This time it was Kinryu Ramen.

Apparently they have many stores throughout Osaka and you will notice the store by a huge green dragon outside.
Well, this green dragon is always blocked something when I see it (=_=)||
If not for my minimal Japanese reading skills, we would have never found this store (>_>):;

Staff-san cooking~

There were only 2 choices at Kinryu.
Char siew and MORE char siew.

Lil bro and I waiting for our ramen~

~

Still hungry after… we went to find our favourite gyoza~

..which has apparently won many awards before!

The store used to have many huge trophies as part of its decor.

I actually HATE gyoza.
But this was super yum!
Their ramen is actually not too bad too!
Too excited and hungry, I gobbled up the gyoza without taking a pic (.__.);;

Also had awesome spongy cake thing! D:
THIS IS WHY I GAINED WEIGHT!! D<

Though I shared with my bro.. still. (>_>);;
My parents are getting older, so we stopped like every 3 hours to eat something. |||ORZ

We also had Okonomiyaki the next day~

I don’t think this was a very good store, but DAMN THATS EX FOR OKONOMIYAKI !
It was about SGD16+ for one.

The first time in my trips to Japan, we went to Hiroshima.
My dad wanted to go to the peace museum.

I thought that was a bad idea…
For myself anyway.

I left the museum feeling very upset and distraught :/
Didn’t take any pics coz I think it’s disrespectful to do so :///

The only thing that made me like Hiroshima was that they had Momiji manju!

Ok, honestly it was just manju shaped like a maple leaf, but it’s unique to Hiroshima or something and I love maple leafs, and I love manju. WHATS THERE NOT TO LIKE ? Haha.

I went crazy and bought even more of it, in different flavours too. I annoyed the crap outta my bros by going “MOMIIIIJIIIII MANNNJUUUUUUU” everytime I saw one.

Back to Osaka, we had this AWESOME POSSUM UDON at this God forsaken place.
It was really difficult to find. And once in the building = WHERE THE FUCK ARE WE?!!

The store’s called Umeda Hagakure.

Too hungry and tired to snap photos, but this udon has won awards too!
It’s a small store with limited seating space.
The store owner (?! I assume anyway) was super friendly and funny!
He could speak a little bit of English and he was super duper nice!
They make good tempura too!

The funny thing was, we were all so tired from walking everywhere that my elder bro actually said
ok let’s give u, let’s eat something else”, to my mum. I walked towards them and sighed, “What? Give up?! When we are standing outside of the store we are looking for??”

My elder bro seriously does not open his eyes when he looks for stuff, really.
(=__=) This whole trip was full of moments like these :(

We also went to Ringo town where I picked up more Cecil McBee stuff~

I heard this is bigger than Gotemba outlet stores in Hakone.
THIS IS WRONG :(

Gotemba has a larger variety of brands and stores, including my favs: Anna Sui, Vivienne Westwood etc etc!

We also went to eat some beef in Kobe at our favourite restaurant: Moriya~

I’ll talk about it another time ~

I spent a whole day shopping at Osaka, so I didn’t shoot anything. My bros and dad went to see the panasonic museum and the gigantor figurine amongst others.

We stayed in Kyoto for 2 nights~
We went to see Kinkaku-ji, the golden pavilion temple

Ticket as entry is not free~

It’s a really nice place !

You can purchase charms too.
I jokingly told my dad I needed one for love… he took it seriously and bought me one for “a good match” (>_>);;
Oh well, I hope it works? Haha. Haven’t figured out a place to hang it yet though.

At night, we went to Gion.
We actually managed to see many Maikos on the street!
FINALLY.

My lil bro must be my lucky charm haha.

My dad stood next to one Maiko, while waiting to cross the street and he blatantly stared like O___O
Didn’t snap pics coz I didn’t bring my flash :(

I was really happy though!
I have many books about Maikos & Geikos, so getting a chance to finally see some was amazing~ (*_*)

We also ate the “best sushi in Kyoto” at Izuju:

They are famous for their Inari sushi and Mackaerel ones.
We had to take away the sushi coz we already ate dinner and wanted to just try some sushi as a snack, but they had to ask us to leave as they have very limited space (only 5 tables!!!).

The inari one had other things inside the beancurd skin.
Not sure what it was, I just chewed and swallowed haha.

I actually didn’t like this sushi…
Maybe it’s because I don’t like mackerel.
Bros loved it though!

If you still can’t find Izuju, it’s located really near the shrine!
I walked past it like 5+ times (I was looking for the icecream store kinana instead).
One of the nights, we were there and I happened to be reading my brother’s “must eat notes” when I spotted it (._.);;

We went to Nara deer park too!
Had to take a picture of this sign:

I have gotten bitten on the arse by a hungry deer who came from behind when I was feeding other deer (>_>);; and almost gotten “knocked down” by another crazy deer who was impatient but I backed off before it did anything.

Cute deers but beware really!

The deers attack anyone with biscuits you buy at the many vendors on site.
When you take the biscuits, you hold them above the deer, and if the deer is nice enough, it would bow to you!

Or in some cases, BITE YOU for being an ass for trying to taunt it haha.

Don’t keep feeding the same deer too! Because they will follow you and chase you.
Really, I’ve seen it happen to some people.
They sometimes bite your garments too, so be careful!

Many visitors freak out and throw the biscuits at the deer in fright.
Pretty hilarious scene!

Elder bro and I ~

Roam free ~!!

The parfait prince interrupts this post to show you….

A PARFAIT 8D

Off to Hakone, the place of hot springs and spa eggs!

I always take a photo of HK and the egg~
The old one was nicer though ! :(

I was excited to eat kuro tamago again~ !
I called it spa eggs coz of the Harvest Moon influence. Speaking of which, I’m going to pick it up again haha *bored*.
Actually… honestly… I think it’s only yummy coz you make the effort to walk all the way up there to the top.

We also went to the Open Air Museum~!

“There it is, dumbass (>_>)”

Forced my elder brother to take this pic, bless his heart and his high tolerance levels of my nonsense. I kept demanding to know where Miffy was haha.

I wasn’t really excited for many of the works in the museum intially, and only wanted to find Miffy haha.
I had a Miffy plushie when I was young and it was one of the cutest thing EVER!

Being in the creative line, I obviously appreciated many of the beautiful works out there besides my Miffy hunt obsession haha.
Not going to post all, but just one of my fav installments:

I eventually found Miffy towards the exit haha.
Didn’t buy any Miffy items though. Needed to save for more important stuff!

Back to Tokyo, I headed off to Shibuya!
I spent a whole evening there on my own, coz I disliked shopping with people who had zero interest in whatever I was buying. I hate the feeling of “burdening” someone :(

Anyways, I saw my favourite J-rock band!

Even though I’m no longer an active J-rock fan, I still support my gaze men!
I watched them grow from an indie band during their Disorder times and into the popular mainstream band they are right now. With tracks on popular anime, Kuroshitsuji 2 and appearances on variety shows.

Back in 2006 – 2008 maybe, I bought every mag article they came out on. [I should sell away some really (=_=)]
I purchased CDs and concert goods.
I got into heated arguments protecting them and what not.

I cried when I watched their liberty six guns live on the dvd I got and still treasure.
“They finally made it big!!” I kept yelling.
It was almost like watching your very own kid grow up and move out.
HAHA.

However, I feel like this “graduation” from J-rock had good benefits for my mental well-being, if not, my wallet.
Being a hardcore J-rock fan, you always encounter many band breakups or member changes. Especially unstable indie bands.
The pain when you hear the news is crazy. I once had 3 indie bands breaking up in one month. I just went mad. Hahaa.

So now, I only support the Gazette and Satsuki of ex Rentrer en Soi and some undercode artistes. Though, not as crazy like before :/

And now, I’m into K-pop! D:

And lookie! SNSD!

Funny thing is I used to be anti-SNSD. Weird how people change haha.
Top favs :  Yoona, Seohyun, Jessica and Soo Young ~! (=3=)

I also had the best Tonkatsu in my 21 years of being a human being!:

Maisen Tonkatsu.
Ate there twice cause it’s just soooo bloody goood!

One of the days, we went to the Tsukiji fish market too~!
However many stalls were closed.
Apparently in December, the fish market is so busy they close their doors for customers ?
We didn’t want to see the fish market actually, we just wanted to eat some sushi !
But the store we wanted to go to was in the section that was closed :(

Spent one of my afternoons at Ikebukuro, Otome Road!

My otome-road goodies!
I will do a post about it another day!

BEST RAMEN EVER:

Menya Musashi Ramen!
For real!

I ate Menya Mussou Ramen, which was apparently ranked number 1 in Tokyo, but honestly Musashi is still my fav!

Look at the size of that pork!:

Also the ambiance is much more warm, everyone was very friendly and when they cooked, they made cute macho sounds!
Mussou was very cold and unwelcoming :/

If you looked at all the directions to Musashi, but you can’t still find it, it’s next to Sakura House.

My mum almost booked rooms at Sakura House haha.
It would have been nice to stay near awesome ramen :P

The alley you want to turn into is the one opposite Tully’s coffee!

Turn here!

I’m just gonna talk about this coz it’s the last pic in my cam:

Harajuku Roll!
It’s a nice sponge cake found in the cafe near Zara.
It gets sold out when evening hits, so best eat it during day time~!

Anyways, I’m quite happy with this trip!
I bought many things!
Dolly wink cosmetics, liz lisa items, tralala lucky bag and other tralala items, cecil mcbee items, more cosmetics, figurines, doujins, swimmer items, wigs, accessories, volks stuff, doll stuff etc~~~

I actually manged to stop myself from buying any punk or lolita stuff and spent mostly on gyaru items.
Phew~!

I’m really a happy girl :D
I can’t wait to go back to Tokyo again (T_T)
I can seriously just spend my days at Harajuku, Ikebukuro and Shibuya haha.

mash ups!

Not going to blog about anything first till I covered my Japan stuff..
which I’m taking a long time trying to pen my thoughts down.
Ah life of a procrastinator!

Speaking of which, I’ve kept delaying “spring cleaning” day.
My room has absolutely no more space for costumes, clothes, magazines and what not, especially after Japan and moving the stuff in my room from Brissy back here.

Its a fucking junkyard in here!
Semi-glad that there’s no Christmas gathering for my family this year.
Don’t need my relative to see what a hurricane would look like in my room either (>_>);;

The whole cluttering of stuff pisses me off. Haha (.__.);;
Hopefully I will get it all cleaned up by Christmas.
Gonna throw away past documents from poly, books, CDs from the 90s (I’m a hoarder :/) and what not.

Anyways, been listening to mash ups recently!
Contrary to popular belief, I actually do listen to western music from time to time!

I like the first one better cause the second one has Justin Bieber in it (>_>);; I can’t stand his voice and the song and just URGHHH.

And on a non-mashup video:

SOMEONE IN YG HEARD MY PRAYER!
GD and T.O.P are my favs in Big Bang !
If I wasn’t so tired yesterday, I would have cried tears of joy.
I was seriously that moved when I found out the news and saw the videos haha.

Though I’m not too fond of T.O.P’s hair, nothing beats GD’s old popcorn hair, so I’ll close one eye haha.
In the comeback stage, GD’s hair just reminds me of Shikamaru from Naruto.
No, really :///

But I seriously love their stages!
Can’t wait for tomorrow’s Mnet stage! It’s the most expensive stage in Mnet’s history!

BB fighting~! (=3=)/
